So, after the freezing cold of Skipton the other week, December saw a complete change of venue with the first Manchester Etsy Made Local Christmas Fair.
The considerably warmer People’s History Museum in Spinningfields was to be our home this time, when I, and and approx 30+ other makers, set up shop in The Engine Room. Designed to tie in with Small Business Saturday (Dec 3rd), Etsy Made Local is a national event with regional Etsy teams holding markets for Etsy shop owners across the country. Manchester’s was scheduled for 4 days, Session 1 being Thurs/Fri and Session 2 Sat/Sun. With a few exceptions, most stall holders were only there for 2 days, swapping over Friday evening.
I wanted to put together a blog, showcasing all the lovely sellers/makers and their wonderful items that I had the pleasure of sharing my two days with. Seemed like a good idea at the time, until I got home and realised how long it was going to take me to process all the pics to make them web friendly!
So, Plan B!!
I’m now going to put them up in stages with a few added each day. They are in no particular order other than the order I process them images in. All have Etsy shops which I will provide links to where I can, as well as websites, social media links etc.
Fairy Made Paper Art:
Gorgeous illustrations and hand-cut paper designs by the very talented Claire. The cheeky laughing kitten paper cut in the second image just had to come home with me! Couldn’t leave him surrounded by all those puppies!!
