ETSY MADE LOCAL – MANCHESTER – Part 2 *UPDATED*

**UPDATED** – Finally got round to adding all the photos – sorry for the delay!

Ok, so I’m a bit rubbish at this blogging lark! So much for writing a full review of this weekend’s Etsy Made Local event at the People’s history Museum.

Rather than being rubbish, it’d be fairer to say my time management needs a bit of work. Having spent the majority of the day finishing orders for my customers at Kelloggs, along with traipsing across the fields to our favourite farm shop to order the turkey for Christmas, it’s now after 10pm and I’ve only just finished for the day.

It’s too late to start editing photos now so I’m going to do the next best thing and to list all the lovely and wonderfully talented folks that were at Etsy Made Local in Manchester on Days 1 and 2. As previously stated, they’re in no particular order, other than the one I photographed them in. If you get chance, please check out their Etsy shops and websites and give them some love as they all worked so hard this week. A number of them are also part of the Pop Up Shop at the People’s Gallery in Stalybridge that I am also selling at this Christmas. Twenty or so local craftspeople selling handmade silver jewellery, ceramics, candles, chocolates, bath bombs, illustrations and prints, home decor and children’s gifts, amongst other things. If you are in the area, this venture needs your support!!

Back to Etsy… I will add photos as and when they become available. Apologies if I have missed anyone off the list. Please feel free to contact me so I can add you on or correct any details.

Please like and share these links and help support small creative businesses.

PAPER LILAC: framed hand cut paper designs and foil printed cards and fellow Pop Up Shop artist

LITTLESILVERWORKSUK: beautiful silver jewellery and another Pop Up Shop exhibitor

NIA DAVIES: contemporary jewellery

ANDREA JOSEPH: gorgeous illustrations. Treated myself to lovely watercolour cat badges for my collections!

PAPER SHERIFF: bright and colour card designs

STEPHANIE MANN JEWELLERY DESIGN: More lovely silver jewellery. Her etched silver rings are definitely on my Christmas wish-list!

FAIRY MADE PAPERART: As seen in yesterday’s blog. It’s lucky for my pocket that she doesn’t do more cat stuff! I’d be all spent up!

WILTON STREET CRAFT CO: Whilst scented candles are somewhat wasted on me (virtually no sense of smell), I have it on good authority that these vegan candles are gorgeous and The Bear (my lovely and long suffering other half) has bought some for our house for over Christmas. Em’s candles are also on sale at the Pop Up Shop in Stalybridge.

CAIT WALKER: Beautiful glass designs

NATALIE BLAMIRE: Embroidery and home decor. Also known as LoveHeartLane

KATE HAMPSON: Amazing paintings of animals. Just wish I had the kind of house to display them. Trades as ‘Sketchbuck’

HELENA LEE STUDIOS: Lots of talented illustrators at this fair and Helena is no exception with her delicate botanical themed designs.

JEWELLSY: Beaded jewellery designs

MANCHESTER BEE COMPANY: Manchester themed artwork, cards and accessories including the city’s famous bee motif.

WILFUL NORTH: Luxury silk scarves and accessories

OMGOSH: Personalised wooden key-rings, wallets and cufflinks. Ruth’s mini laser engraver was a hit with the crowds. Loved the fact that you could have your own drawings etched onto your chosen piece. The Bear got his very own ‘Bear’ Christmas decoration as a thank you for letting me use his car to cart all my stuff in to Manchester on his way to work so I wouldn’t have to pay for parking.

THISTLE AND WILD: Hand drawn, sewn and screen printed accessories

NAOMI DAVIES: Bold, striking illustrations – Love these! Could see these doing well at The Tattoo Tea Party.

JACK LAVERICK CERAMICS: Contemporary, geometric ceramic containers

THE MAGPIE’S DAUGHTER: Vintage inspired jewellery

MADE BY FELICITY: Hand screen printed art and fashion

THE ART BOAT: Fantastic Highland cow painting, so hard to choose between this one and Kate Hampson’s. Definitely spoiled for choice. Beautiful little cat paintings as well. I could have spent so much money at this fair! good job I haven’t got any!!

ITCHY CROCHET DESIGNS: Cute little crochet designs for kids

GIZZYS GIFTS: Adorable miniature animal jewellery, amongst other lovely things

TINGS BY US: screenprinted artwork

OLD NORTHERN CANDLE CO: You’d be forgiven for thinking they just sold candles but they also have a range of essential oils and room sprays.

MEMO ILLUSTRATION: Bright and funky coloured cards and prints

STUDIO PINNOCK: Beautiful and painstaking linocut prints of architecture and cities. If you haven’t yet seen their video of just what goes into creating a linocut, it’s well worth a watch!

NETTY & DI: Contemporary prints of landmark architecture.

LAURA JEFFERS: Fashion designer

NICOLA FERNANDES: Illustration, textiles and pet portraits. This is the lady to see if you want a cat cushion! 🙂

YELLOW SUNFLOWER INTERIORS: Tucked away in a corner but loads of really fun designs. Particularly like there line of feisty tote bags!

SWIFTY BELL DESIGNS: Fun, fabric artwork from the wonderfully cheerful Swifty!
